Village Marathon 2027 (3rd Edition) [মেঠোপথে ম্যারাথন]
March 11, 2027 @ 5:30 am - 5:00 pm

What started as a simple idea among five young villagers in rural Bangladesh has now grown into a community movement.
Village Marathon returns for its 3rd Edition, to be held the day after Eid-ul-Fitr 2027, bringing together people from different villages to celebrate health, happiness, and unity through running.
Unlike traditional marathons that focus on long distances and competition, Village Marathon is designed for ordinary village people. Our goal is not to create professional athletes, but to inspire healthy lifestyles, encourage physical activity, strengthen community bonds, and extend the joy of Eid through a unique and meaningful experience.
The first edition began in 2025 with only 7 runners.
In 2026, more than 1,000 people expressed interest, and despite limiting registrations to 200 participants nearly 500 people gathered to take part in and enjoy the event. Participants included students, farmers, police officers, professors, business owners, corporate professionals, and runners from different districts of Bangladesh.
For Village Marathon 2027, we are aiming even higher—with better organization, more participants, greater community engagement, and an unforgettable experience.

Village Marathon is more than a running event—it is a movement that promotes health, happiness, friendship, and positive social engagement.
Whether you’re a runner or a supporter, you are part of this movement.
Together, let’s prove that great ideas don’t always begin in big cities—sometimes they begin in villages.
Run for Health. Run for Happiness. Run for Your Village.
