DESCRIPTION: Running Through Villages. Inspiring Health. Building Communities.\nWhat started as a simple idea among five young villagers in rural Bangladesh has now grown into a community movement.\nVillage Marathon returns for its 3rd Edition\, to be held the day after Eid-ul-Fitr 2027\, bringing together people from different villages to celebrate health\, happiness\, and unity through running.\nUnlike traditional marathons that focus on long distances and competition\, Village Marathon is designed for ordinary village people. Our goal is not to create professional athletes\, but to inspire healthy lifestyles\, encourage physical activity\, strengthen community bonds\, and extend the joy of Eid through a unique and meaningful experience.\nThe first edition began in 2025 with only 7 runners.\n\nIn 2026\, more than 1\,000 people expressed interest\, and despite limiting registrations to 200 participants nearly 500 people gathered to take part in and enjoy the event.
